To commemorate our exhibition WWII & NYC, the Museum Store designed this inspiring iPad case. Reflecting the home-front efforts of New York women, Liberty the Riveter is a mash-up of Lady Liberty and Rosie the Riveter, a cultural icon representing the American women who worked in factories during World War II. The many Rosies produced munitions and war supplies, taking entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who were in the military. Rosie the Riveter is commonly used as a symbol of feminism and women's economic power, and Lady Liberty is a symbol of Americas enduring promise of freedom.
This impact resistant case features a smooth finish, flexible plastic shell, provides access to all ports and functions, and fits all iPad 2 devices.
