Visitors to the Historical Society can interact with the painting just inside the Central Park Westentrance through a video animation reproducing the Oertel work on ten high-definition flatscreens, creating the overall effect of a single ten-foot-wide, seven and a half-foot tall scene.Triggered by visitors movements, various elements of the painting will come to life using soundand animation. This video animation invites visitors to contemplate their own places in a livelyhistorical continuum. Be sure to look for Liberty. Hes full of mischief.
